Jay Prescott
Midwest Regional Director of field ministry
Jay Prescott serves as the Regional Director of Field Ministry for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the Midwest Region, providing leadership and strategic direction for FCA’s work across Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois. In this role, he equips and develops State Directors and Advancement Lane Directors as they lead more than 250 staff in fulfilling FCA’s mission to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
Before joining FCA, Jay spent ten years as a high school teacher, guidance counselor and coach, eight years as a high school principal and seventeen years as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Grand View University. He holds a B.A. in Secondary Education from Westmar College, an M.S.E. and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Drake University and completed executive studies at the Harvard Institute for Educational Management (IEM), Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard Institute for Graduate Education in Cambridge, MA.
Jay is driven by a deep desire to see transformational ministry flourish through well-equipped leaders, healthy teams, and strong partnerships with local churches and ministry organizations.
He and his wife, Tami, live in Urbandale, Iowa, and are parents to three adult children and grandparents — Drew (Elin), Quinn (Emma), and Elyse (Zack).
