Craig douma
Midwest Regional Director of sport
Craig Douma serves as the Regional Director of Sport for FCA’s Midwest Region. Craig believes that to fully live out this mission, FCA must intentionally engage coaches and athletes both on and off campus. By expanding ministry into off-campus sport environments, he works to strengthen FCA’s overall presence and impact, while leading coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
Craig brings more than 25 years of coaching experience to FCA, having coached basketball at the high school and collegiate levels. In addition, he has spent nearly three decades leading clinics focused on shot development and effective shooting workouts. His extensive coaching background provides a strong foundation for building meaningful relationships and advancing FCA’s ministry through leagues, clubs, and other sport platforms.
Craig joined FCA in October 2022 as an Area Representative and transitioned into his current role as Regional Director of Sport in September 2024. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and Business Education from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.
His transition into the Regional Director of Sport role reflects his experience and vision for reaching athletes at younger ages through leagues and clubs, an important strategy in today’s culture, as youth face increasing pressures and are making decisions about faith earlier than ever.
Craig and his wife have five children and one grandchild, with another grandchild on the way.
